    EQ per Bus?

    Hi,

Is it possible to EQ channel output to a Bus? There are some monitorís and output to individuals which are tinny and could be improved but not anything that should impact FOH. I realize mix of all channels can change per bus but can I EQ the same way?

    Thanks.

Each bus has it's own dedicated 6-band peq\31 band geq\teq (as well as insert point across which you can insert one of the regular geq\teqs or boutique peqs from the FX rack.) Whatever you do with these eqs will affect the whole sound of the monitor.

If you mean you want to eq a channel one way for FOH, but a different way for monitors, that can't be done, as each channel only has one eq processing block. You can eq for FOH and keep that eq from affecting the monitor by sending the channel to the monitor pre-eq, but then you'll have no eq on the channel in the monitor.

As close as you can get is to y-split the channel, either physically before the preamp using a y-split cable, (so you've got one channel for FOH with it's own eq suitable for FOH, and this channel isn't routed to monitors at all, and another channel (fed by the same mic) with its own eq suitable for monitors, and this channel isn't routed to LR at all,) or you can split them "virtually" by setting multiple channels to source their signals from the same preamp to create the above effect, however given that they're sharing a preamp, preamp gain changes will affect both channels.
