Leave SD card in X-Live card?

Sorry for another X-Live question. Is it ok to leave a SD card in a slot during Boot up and shut down? May seem like a simple question but didn't know if the board would look for updates etc.

Yes it's fine. My X32 has 2 cards in their respective slot. No issue at all during ON/OFF power cycles.

Board/FW updates are only read from the USB stick.

I would install the optional battery to avoid a corrupted file system though.
